Introduction: The 2018 Hokkaido earthquake caused a power outage in all of Hokkaido. In Japan, several hospitals have generators for outages. However, when electricity is lost, are disrupted because they accustomed to having stable supply on daily basis. This study describes the efforts hospital that were not disaster response evaluate and implement power-loss countermeasures. purpose this measure usefulness Method: 1) Classification Japan’s existing 2) Hospital evaluation classified measures. 3) Confirmation hospital’s Results: Power-loss countermeasures into four categories. 1.) Equipment enhancement: expensive but can prevent loss power, 2.) Purchase goods: inexpensive alternative available, 3.) Manual creation, 4.) Training. Training measures help smoothen after power.
